The Music is mainly traditional dance tunes from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. We also play a selection of music from the Bourbonnais area of central France, played on the traditional instruments of the region, the Grande Cornemuse (French Bagpipe) and Vieille a Roux (Hurdy Gurdy). We add some ‘Old Time’ music from the Appalachian Mountains and a touch of 1920s Jazz. A sample of the music can be heard on the Bands latest CD ‘Wakes, Weddings and Divorces’ available From: brianATthepackhorseband.co.uk |

Radio Microphones The
band and caller use radio mic’s to allow us to mingle with the guests and
to be heard at a reasonable volume. It is always important for us not to
be too loud.
